At least I can play music pretty well, which, gave me excuse to not skateboard as much because I either did both . . .and broke bones, then could do neither (really it was rollerblading doing a 540 off a plastic ramp and broke my elbow bad…😮) ! Or, play music professionally and let the naturals at skating do their thing and go cheer you all on. the Japanese are so inspiring, I love them. take any hobby and you will find a group of Japanese that have mastered it. pick any video game, yoyo, whatever, they have the elite of the elite. Japan taught me to find something you love and just become obsessive over it and pour your heart and soul into it, even if it doesn't bring much money.

Wonder if they ever tried any rails or gaps they could straight up he gods in the Olympics especially the 14 year old. I've seen 8 year Olds doing huge 8+ handrails and stuff nowadays stuff that would have got you sponsored when I was a kid, or only the best skaters in town would even attempt. Skating is at such a high level today I don't think anyone thought it would progress as fast as it did. Many of those flips would have been considered impossible when I was young.
